Housed ewes, 2 years old and free from worms, were used in preliminary field trials. Ten were given disophenol (7.5 mg/kg s/c) and turned on to pasture. They all became infected with Trichostrongylus, Ostertagia, Strongyloides and Oesophagostomum, lost condition, and two died; at 60 days only three had Haemonchus infection. Controls were heavily infected with all species.
