Sheets of paper impregnated with fenitrothion, fenthion or dieldrin were tested in May-July 1970 for control of mites (Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Schr.)) in straw mats on the floor of houses in Japan (cf. preceding abstract). Two months after the paper sheets had been placed above and below the mats, the numbers of mites in protected and unprotected mats were compared.
