Bionomics of three Coleoptera that attack stored grain (Tenebrionidae, Cucujidae, Bostrichidae)

Bionomics of three Coleoptera that attack stored grain (Tenebrionidae, Cucujidae, Bostrichidae)

Sociedad Entomologica del Peru: Proceedings of the First Latin American Congress Entomology, Cuzco, Peru, 12th-18th April 1971: Anales del Primer Congreso Latinoamericano de Entomologia Cusco, Peru, 12-18 de Abril 1971 14: 290-296

When Tribolium castaneum (Hbst.), Oryzaephilus surinamensis (L.) and Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) were reared in the laboratory in Chile at about 27 deg C and 70% R.H., the life-cycle (from egg to egg) was completed in 34-46 days by T. castaneum reared on a diet of wheat flour, ground maize and brewers' yeast (10:9:1), in 28-34 days by O. surinamensis reared on cracked wheat, and in 42-56 days by R. dominica reared on wheat grains.
