Comparative characteristics of amino acid composition of royal jelly of bees of different races

The external characteristics of bees were studied in relation to the origin of the royal jelly available in the colony in which they were reared. Far Eastern bees were reared in a colony headed by an Italian queen and vice versa. Results showed that the development of the bees was influenced by the queen that was the mother of the nurse bees. Examination of the composition of proteins in royal jelly of three races (Far Eastern, Georgian, Lenkoranets) showed differences in 9 amino acids.
