Comparative evaluation of ultra-low and low-volume aerial bait sprays for the control of olive fruit fly (Dacus oleae (Gmel.))

Experiments with protein bait-sprays applied at low and ultra-low volume from aircraft against Dacus oleae (Gmel.) on olive in Crete and the Peloponnese region of Greece were continued in 1970-71 with malathion and fenthion (Lebaycid). The ultra-low-volume sprays proved most effective at high densities of Dacus adults, giving results comparable to those of the standard low-volume method.
