Comparative growth rates of aquatic stages of ten mosquito species (Diptera: Culicidae) at two constant temperatures

The development of Aedes aegypti (L.), A. melanimon Dyar, A. nigromaculis (Ludl.), A. sierrensis (Ludl.), A. atropalpus (Coq.), Culiseta incidens (Thoms.), C. inornata (Will.), Culex pipiens pipiens L., C. p. fatigans Wied. (p. quinquefasciatus auct.) and C. tarsalis Coq. at 19 plus or minus 1 and 24 plus or minus 1 deg C was observed in the laboratory from hatching of the egg to emergence of the adult.
