Concentrate feeds containing meals of cereal grains for growing pigs

Zhivotnovodstvo 2: 49-51

In the first trial the diet for growing pigs was meal of dehusked barley with particle size 0.55 mm or of non-dehusked barley of particle size 0.66 or 1.55 mm. Average daily liveweight gain was 535, 594 and 626 g. Digestibility of protein was 78.7, 81.3 and 79.2, of fat 70.4, 77.7 and 77.7, of fibre 37.1, 48.7 and 43.0 and of N-free extract 78.9, 90.9 and 91.1%.
