Concentration of penicillin in the udder of cows (following injection into the abdominal aorta)

, : Concentration of penicillin in the udder of cows (following injection into the abdominal aorta). Veterinariya, Moscow (12): 78-79

Ten lactating cows aged 6 to 10 years were used in a study of penicillin levels in the blood, mammary lymph and milk examined at intervals after a dose of 2500 units (per kg body weight) dissolved in 0.5% procaine had been injected into the abdominal aorta. Some cows received aortically penicillin 20 minutes after the induction of ganglion block by means of procaine injections.
