2. The duodenal flow of digesta and the concurrent pancreatic secretion were compared when 6 Ayrshire calves, with duodenal re-entrant and pancreatic sac cannulae, were fed on reconstituted, "mildly" preheated, spray-dried skimmed milk powder (SK); the same skimmed milk containing 20 g fat/litre (SKF); or reconstituted, "severely" preheated skimmed milk powder containing 20 g fat/litre (HSKF).
