Cytogenetical studies on the genus Oryza. VII. Cytogenetical studies on F1 hybrids between diploid O. punctata and diploid species having C genome

Cytogenetical studies on the genus Oryza. VII. Cytogenetical studies on F1 hybrids between diploid O. punctata and diploid species having C genome

Japanese Journal of Breeding Ikushugaku Zasshi 24(4): 165-168

Ten F1 hybrids obtained from the crosses O. punctata X O. punctata, O. punctata X O. officinalis and O. punctata X O. eichingeri were studied. Chromosome pairing of hybrids within O. punctata was normal, but hybrids of O. punctata with the other two species showed low chromosome pairing, various chromosomal irregularities and complete seed sterility.
