Diallel-cross analysis of quantitative traits in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea (L.) Czern and Coss.)

Four experimental varieties and six standard cultivars were analysed, in a 10 X 10 diallel cross excluding reciprocals, for days to flowering, plant height and seed yield per plant. Earliness was controlled by dominant genes and had an heritability estimate of 34.20%. Plant height had a heritability of 42.47%. Recessive alleles controlled high seed yield.
