Differential sensitivity of two common groundsel biotypes (Senecio vulgaris L.) to several s-triazine herbicides

Differential sensitivity of two common groundsel biotypes (Senecio vulgaris L.) to several s-triazine herbicides

Dissertation Abstracts International, B 33(8): 3428

One S. vulgaris biotype tested was effectively controlled by atrazine and simazine at 0.5 ppm., GS-14 254 (4-ethylamino-2-methoxy-6-s-butylamino-1,3,5-triazine) and prometon at 1 ppm. and prometryne at 4 ppm., but another biotype did not succumb to treatment and failed to show any symptoms of chlorosis or photosynthesis inhibition when treated with simazine at 4 ppm. and atrazine, GS-14 254, prometon and prometryne at 30 ppm. (in each case the highest concn. tested).
