Twelve rats, of bodyweight 160 to 180 g, were given for 18 days a standard diet alone or with 6 g/rat daily of groundnut oil, lard or tallow. At the end of the feeding period the rats were killed and the lipid contents of perinephric and subcutaneous adipose tissues, skeletal muscle and liver were estimated. The glyceride and free fatty acid contents of the lipids from the tissues are given in 4 Tables.
