Effect of growth regulators and their concentrations on fruit-drop, yield, fruit size and quality of Pineapple variety of sweet orange (Citrus sinensis Osbeck)

Sweet orange trees, Pineapple, were sprayed in May and September with 5, 10, 15 or 20 p.p.m. of 2,4-D, 2,4,5-T, 2,4,5-TP or NAA, and fruit drop was observed until the December harvest. With the exception of 20 p.p.m. NAA fruit drop was reduced by all treatments. The most effective was 2,4-D at 20 p.p.m., followed by 2,4,5-TP at 15 p.p.m.
