Effect of levels and times of application of potash on IR8

Oryza 9(1): 57-64

Rice IR-8 yielded 3.18 t grain/ha without K and 3.45, 3.6, 3.62 and 3.63 t/ha with 20, 40, 60 and 80 kg K2O/ha. Application of half the K as a basal dressing and half at active tillering was more effective than applying all K as a basal dressing.
