Effect of phenylmercuric acetate injections on phosphatase activity in chickens resistant and susceptible to leukosis

Liver and kidney alkaline phosphatase activity was greater in three strains of chickens susceptible to lymphoid leukosis than in five resistant strains. On the same basis, four strains susceptible to Marek's disease had more liver alkaline phosphatase activity than four resistant strains. Liver and kidney acid phosphatase activity were similar among similarly classified strains of chickens.
