Effect of repeated annual applications of herbicides in red raspberry plantings

Effect of repeated annual applications of herbicides in red raspberry plantings

Annual applications for 4 years of dichlobenil at 4.5 kg, diphenamid 6.7 kg, simazine 2.2 kg, chloramben 4.5 kg and paraquat 2.2 kg/ha in raspberries on a loam soil had no direct deleterious effect on the crop plants. Dichlobenil, simazine and paraquat gave excellent weed control. Weed competition in control plots seriously reduced yields.
