Effects of SADH on the levels of diffusible and extractable gibberellins in the apices of sweet cherry

, : Effects of SADH on the levels of diffusible and extractable gibberellins in the apices of sweet cherry. Acta Horticulturae (34): 59-64

Treating upright shoots of Prunus avium Bing with daminozide reduced the amount of GA-like substances which could be extracted or which diffused from their apices, but the same treatment had no effect on GA levels in the apices of horizontal shoots. Less biologically active material was collected by diffusion from the apices of horizontal than of upright shoots, irrespective of the orientation of the apices during the 24-h diffusion period.
