Effects of different energy levels in food on production and reproductive capacity of gilts and sows. 4. Body weight, food consumption and reproduction at second and third farrowings of sows from the first generation

Zbornik Radova, Institut za Stocarstvo, Novi Sad (5): 93-106

In 3 groups totalling 413 Large White sows, allocated rations in the proportions of 100 : 80 : 60% resp., litter size at the 2nd farrowing averaged 9.2, 9.7 and 9.2 at birth and 8.7, 8.7 and 8.2 at weaning at 42 days: birth weight of piglets averaged 1.37, 1.28 and 1.33 kg, and weaning weight 10.16, 10.21 and 10.30 kg.
