Effects of different techniques on the growth and yield of some varieties of female winter cucumbers

, : Effects of different techniques on the growth and yield of some varieties of female winter cucumbers. Acta Horticulturae (42): 210-219

Because of the pollination problems that the hybrid winter cucumbers present in greenhouses in some areas of the Canary Islands, cultural trials were conducted with 15 cvs of female winter cucumbers (100% female flowers). There were significant differences between cvs, the best for high yields being Virgo A, Andrex and Uniflora D. Vertical training gave better results than oblique training.
