In trials at 18 sites in 1967-70, meadow fescue and cocksfoot harvested 3 times/year for silage were given up to 600 kg N/ha annually. Contents of Na, Zn and Cu in the herbage increased with increasing rates of N, those of Mn, Fe and Mo decreased and those of Sr and Co were unaffected.
