In this second part of a series (cf. preceding abstract), the results are given of investigations since 1964 on the presence, prevalence and importance of arboviruses circulating in northern and central Italy. Serological examination of man and other vertebrates was supplemented by ecological examination of the two areas including collection and study of mosquitos and ticks and potential vertebrate reservoirs.
