In this third part of a series (cf preceding abstract, etc.), an account is given of a study of the epidemiology of arbovirus infections in man and animals in Calabria in southern Italy, begun in 1968 and comprising serological examination of the human population, domestic animals and wild birds and small mammals, an ecological study including collection of potential reservoir hosts and arthropod vectors, and isolation of virus.
