Extractives of Pinus radiata bark. I. Phenolic components

New Zealand Journal of Science 16(4): 751-761

Presents the results of chromatographic studies. Condensed tannins of the procyanidin and prodelphinidin type with high molecular weights (25 000-35 000) constituted ca. 20% of the oven-dry weight of bark, and the major simple phenolic component was dihydroquercetin (ca. 2%).
