Tordon 225 (a 1:1 mixture of picloram + 2,4,5-T triethylamine) was applied at 0.5 lb total a.e.+1oz wetter in 4 gal spray/acre to honey mesquite (Prosopis glandulosa) at 15 locations in the Rolling Plains of Texas. In general, the root mortalities were highest when soil temp. at 18 inches depth was above 75 deg F, soil moisture at 0 to 6 inches was relatively low and trees were <8 ft high. See also WA 21, 116.
