Three replicate groups each of 11 Large White turkey hens 32 weeks old were given for 20 weeks one of four 12% protein experimental diets based on ground wheat and dried peas (Pisum sativum). The diets had 0, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2% added methionine. The hens were artificially inseminated at 7-day intervals and sound eggs were stored at 55 deg F, weighed and incubated at 2-week intervals. Egg production, feed consumption, bodyweight, egg weight, fertility and hatchability were noted.
