In further studies in Egypt on Hyalopterus pruni (Geoffr.), an examination of sections of leaves of peach, apricot and Phragmites communis (the secondary food-plant) infested by the aphid showed that it inserts its stylets into the lower surface of peach and apricot leaves but into the upper surface of those of Phragmites.
