Flight period and brood emergence in Trypodendron lineatum (Oliv.) (Col., Scolytidae) in the Nordic countries

Describes a study in 10 locations in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden between 1968 and 1969, showing that after the snow had melted, flight activity by T. lineatum began when the temperature reached 15 deg C. Flight activity took place mainly during the first two weeks after this, but continued to some extent for 1 to 2 months. In general, brood logs of Spruce (felled during the previous year) were attacked only during the month after the start of flight activity.
