Studies of a population of 101 F2 plants and 19 of them chosen without randomization revealed no significant difference between the populations in glume length; the difference in glume width was almost significant, and differences in grain length and width were significant at the 5% level. There were also differences between the populations in the correlations between glume length and width and between glume length and grain length.
