Height intercept for estimating site index in young Ponderosa Pine plantations and natural stands



USDA Forest Service Research Note, Pacific Southwest Forest and Range Experiment Station (PSW-276): 4



Site index based on 1- to 6-year height intercepts (see P.C.Wakeley in FA 16, 356) was estimated with two sets of site curves in 35 even-aged stands of Pinus ponderosa (aged 16-83 years) in N. California.
