Intensive culture increases growth without affecting wood quality of young southern Pines

Intensive culture increases growth without affecting wood quality of young southern Pines

Canadian Journal of Forest Research 3(4): 565-573

In a study in Mississippi, USA, application of NPK fertilizer 1 year after planting, and cultivation before and after planting, greatly increased the growth and yield of Pinus palustris, P. elliottii and P. taeda over a 9-year period.
