Investigations by means of laboratory rearing and sexual trapping on the annual cycle of the Angoumois grain moth Sitotroga cerealella Oliv. Lep. Gelechiidae and on the role of wheat and maize crops in the maintenance of this species in Aquitaine (France)

Investigations by means of laboratory rearing and sexual trapping on the annual cycle of the Angoumois grain moth Sitotroga cerealella Oliv. Lep. Gelechiidae and on the role of wheat and maize crops in the maintenance of this species in Aquitaine (France)

Annales de Zoologie, Ecologie Animale 4(3): 311-323

Field studies and rearing in the laboratory showed that the maximum number of generations of Sitotroga cerealella (Ol.) that can develop on cereals in the field in the Aquitaine region of France is three. The overwintering generation was present between October and June and there were two consecutive summer generations between June and late October.
