Isotope studies on wheat fertilization. Results of a four-year co-ordinated research programme of the Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Atomic Energy in Food and Agriculture

Isotope studies on wheat fertilization. Results of a four-year co-ordinated research programme of the Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Atomic Energy in Food and Agriculture

Technical Report, International Atomic Energy Agency (157): 99

Results are given from trials in 1968-72 in 15 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. Emphasis in this report is placed on the more generalized observations applicable to recommendations concerning efficient use of N and P fertilizers for wheat. Increased grain yields due to the addition of N occurred in almost all of the experiments, and grain N content was also generally increased.
