Linkage of albinism and brown in the Syrian hamster

Linkage of albinism and brown in the Syrian hamster

Journal of Heredity 64(4): 232-232

Linkage has been detected between the genes for brown (b) and acromelanic albino (cd). Test-cross data on 75 male and 137 female hamsters showed cross-over values of 28.4% for males and 32.3% for females ; the sex difference was not significant.
