Mammomonogamus species in domestic and wild ruminants

Annales de Parasitologie Humaine et Comparee 47(2): 225-241

Mammomonogamus laryngeus (from buffalo, cattle and zebu) and M. nasicola (from cattle, sheep, goat, Cervus rufus and Syncerus caffer) are redescribed from specimens in the collections of the Veterinary Schools of Lyon and Alfort, France. Features important for identification are: buccal capsule (shape and structure), bursa copulatrix (particularly the shape of the dorsal ray), female tail and the size of the worms and of the eggs.
