Marguerite, Chrysanthemum frutescens hybrida, as a pot and bedding plant

Marguerite, Chrysanthemum frutescens hybrida, as a pot and bedding plant

Lantbrukshogskolans Meddelanden, A (184): 24

The results are presented of 4 years' pot trials on cvs, propagation dates for cuttings, long-day treatment and growth retardants for C. frutescens which is normally grown as a cut-flower crop. The cuttings were rooted between November and April. The Vara was the most promising; it bore many flowers,, was relatively compact and flowered early. Sundquist, which bore larger flower heads than Vara, also gave good results.
