Milk powder build-up prevented in Japanese nozzle spray drier

Milk powder build-up prevented in Japanese nozzle spray drier

Food Technology in New Zealand 7(9): 27

In this plant (Morinaga Milk Industry Co. Ltd., Japan) the product is sprayed into a vertical drying chamber through a central nozzle, concurrent with hot air (at 150-210 deg C) blown in through a circular vent arranged concentrically above the product nozzle.
