Mortality of four species of Tribolium and of Gnathocerus maxillosus (F.) after freezing, analyzed by weighted regression lines

Mortality of four species of Tribolium and of Gnathocerus maxillosus (F.) after freezing, analyzed by weighted regression lines

Physiological Zoology 46(1): 85-93

Four species of Tribolium (T. confusum Duv., T. madens (Charp.), T. destructor Uyttenb. and T. anaphe Hinton) and one of Gnathocerus (G. maxillosus (F.)) were used for an analysis of mortality responses to freezing. The LD50's for each sex and for the two sexes combined, for each species, were calculated for the mortality response to freezing after 24 h and after 7 days, using the method described by Litchfield & Wilcoxon (1949).
