Most probable number and efficiency of Rhizobium specific to perennial soyabean and soratro on 4 major soil groups in Sao Paulo State

Most probable number and efficiency of Rhizobium specific to perennial soyabean and soratro on 4 major soil groups in Sao Paulo State

Bragantia 31(20): 235-248

In glasshouse pot experiments at Campinas, the number and efficiency of native rhizobia nodulating Glycine wightii and Macroptilium atropurpureum Siratro on 4 soils under grasses and G. wightii were compared with those of the effective Rhizobium strain SMS-137 (CB 453). Most probable numbers of G. wightii-specific rhizobia in soils under grasses were 0.36 X 102-9.17 X 102/g soil and of M. atropurureum-specific rhizobia were 0.36 X 102 -126 X 102.
