Nitrogen fertilization of cereals. 26. Effect of frequency and date of application and of rate of benomyl on grain yield of wheat

Nitrogen fertilization of cereals. 26. Effect of frequency and date of application and of rate of benomyl on grain yield of wheat

Stikstof 7(76): 116-120

In trials at 4 sites in 1972 a single application of benomyl at 0.5 kg/ha between heading and anthesis increased grain yields of winter wheat by 0.3-1.0 t/ha. Spraying more frequently gave further increases in yield but these were not economic. Early spraying, at the end of tillering, of spring wheat had no effect on yields or on the incidence of take-all (Ophiobolus graminis).
