Pangola grass (Digitaria decumbens) and Swannee Bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon) were cut when about 0.40 and 0.25 m high, in April and December in Brazil, and were dried in the sun for 3 days and for about 10 h. The material contained 52.63 and 33.3% leaves; the rest was stalks. The ground hay was given to sheep about 2 years old for 21 days and total faeces were collected.
