Pregnancy in lactating sows following temporary separation of litters and administration of PMSG

94 Swedish Landrace sows were temporarily separated from their litters as follows: groups 1, 2 and 3 for 12 h daily from 21 to 28 days of lactation; groups 4, 5 and 6 for 12 h daily on days 21-22 and for 6 h daily on days 23-28; groups 7 and 8 were not separated. Sows from groups 2, 4 and 7 were given 1000 IU PMS/ female on day 23, and sows from groups 3, 6 and 8 were given 1500 IU PMS on day 23.
