Preventative and curative control of Cladosporium leaf mold of greenhouse tomatoes with benomyl and surfactant additives

Benomyl, applied either as a foliar spray in suspensions of 100, 500 or 1000 p.p.m. or as a drench at 12.5, 125 or 500 p.p.m., prevented and cured infection by C. fulvum. The surfactants Tween 20, GAFAC RS-710 and GAFAC RA-600 were used combined with all benomyl treatments. The GAFAC surfactants increased the effectiveness of benomyl applied to the soil without any phytotoxic effects. Tween 20 also increased the preventive effect of benomyl, but was only 70% as effective as GAFAC.
