In silage maize cut weekly between 23 Sept. and 28 Oct. 1963-5, yields of fresh forage continued to increase until 7 Oct., when average yields were 46.93 t/ha; the crop at that time contained 18.7% DM and (on DM basis) 10.86% CP, 1.51% fat, 31.41% CF, 7.84% ash and 51.62% NFE.
