1. Large White pigs in 4 groups each of 6 females and 6 castrated males were fattened from 30 to 90 kg liveweight on a diet of potato flakes and dried sugar beet slices and a plant protein concentrate containing 50 to 65% semidebittered (SDB) or untreated rapeseed oilmeal. Vinylthiooxazolidone and isothiocyanate contents were 0.67 and 0.53% in untreated and 0.30 and 0.35% in SDB oilmeals.
