Response of groundnuts to foliar application of magnesium, manganese and zinc application in medium black soils of Indore (M.P.)

In trials with 13 groundnut grown under rain-fed conditions, foliar application of solutions containing 0.6% MgSO4, MnSO4, or ZnSO4 at 200 gallons/ha 32 days after sowing resulted in average yields of 1.47, 1.28 and 1.25 t unshelled nuts/ha, respectively, compared with 1.14 t/ha for crops given no trace elements.
