Response of hybrid bajra (H.B.1) for nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilization

In trials with bajra (Pennisetum americanum) Hybrid Bajra-1 given 0-40 kg P2O5 + 0-20 kg K2O/ha, increasing applied N from nil to 120 kg/ha increased grain yields from 2.03 to 3.31 t/ha. Application of 20 and 40 kg P2O5/ha increased yields from 2.77 t/ha without P to 2.86 and 2.99 t/ha, respectively.
