Ridge cultivation and cultivar selection related to the yield of eggplant and sweet pepper grown in the Sudan

, : Ridge cultivation and cultivar selection related to the yield of eggplant and sweet pepper grown in the Sudan. Acta Horticulturae (33): 149-154

The effects were determined of planting on the east or west side of N-S. ridges. Small increases in early and total yields were observed for eggplants planted on the east compared with the west side; with sweet pepper the opposite occurred. For eggplants the average fruit weight of Black Beauty was higher than that of Long Purple, but no essential differences were found between the sweet pepper cvs. California Wonder and Yolo Wonder.
