Role of proteins and calcium in resistance of rice to infection by Helminthosporium oryzae



Phytochemistry 11(11): 3119-3120



Healthy leaves of the varieties Co20 and T141, which are resistant to H. oryzae (Cochliobolus miyabeanus), had higher concentrations of protein and calcium than those of the susceptible varieties NC1281 and NC678 but there was no significant difference in the content of pectic substances.
