Selection for egg production in a flock of White Leghorn. II. Response in the secondary traits and their heritabilities. III. Genetic, phenotypic and environmental correlations between selected and unselected traits

In a White Leghorn flock, selected over 4 generations for high egg production during the first 100 days of laying, the response per generation was -0.614 days for age at sexual maturity, 33.33 g for mature body weight and 1.14 g for egg weight. The regression coefficients estimated from the regression of response of unselected traits on selected traits were 0.23 for age at sexual maturity, 7.43 for mature body weight and -0.17 for egg weight.
